Number of players: 5 to 20
Dealing
Shuffle and cut the cards. Deal one card at at time to each player. Put the rest of the cards, called the stock, on one side. You'll also need poker chips or some other counting token such as buttons. Each player starts with three.
How to Play
The player on the dealer's left begins. When it's your turn, look at your card and decide whether to keep it or trade it to the player on your left. You don't want a high card, especially not the ace, which is the highest. Your neighbor on the left has to trade cards if you ask.
Then your neighbor decides whether or not to trade with the player on his left, and so on around the circle. When it is the dealer's turn, he does something a little different. He or she can keep his or her card or put it face up next to the stock in a discard pile and then take the top card from the stock.
Now all the players turn their cards face up. Whoever has the highest card puts one chip in the center of the table. The player to the left of the dealer deals the next round. Everyone plays until their chips are gone. The winner is the player who lasts the longest.
